After-Campus-Life Questions and Judgements

0

Salam 'alaykum :)
hi all, i'm blogging this in a deadline of my undergraduate research progress report. haha.. ( good job, dinni!)
hm, well, it's not a good example to follow, ok? but i think i want to write this, before everything is going more-over.

I'm 21 years old now, and this July, insha Allah i'll be 22. Now, I'm currently taking undergraduate program in Institut Teknologi Bandung, at Metallurgical Engineering Department. Since January, i entered to the 8th semester - and I hope this semester is my last semester for undergraduate study, hehehe..

being last year student, for me, feels like being a real student. No, i'm not saying that previously i'm not seriously study, it just a feeling of being completely-comprehensively learning. Because now, it feels like the subjects of what i'm learning this semester and the research i do need comprehensive understanding of all subjects since the 1st year of undergrad program. These things make me understand what is the uses of subject A, what for learning subject B, why i have to get laboratory practice of this and that. Late? may be.. haha, but i believe in learning, we never have a word named 'late'. ;)

other things than learning and do research that a bit disturb me are question from people around me. They keep asking about the future, i mean, what i'm planning for the future: after campus life. People keep asking: Dinni, what will you do after graduate? Where will you work? will you continue your study abroad? when will you getting marry?

hmm, well, i thank Allah, Alhamdulillah, for giving me such a very beautiful life and let me live surrounded with people who cares to me, also my future. I don't mind people ask me questions about my planning, i thanks people for their advise too. But sometimes, in life, we meet somebody who is keep asking and over-curious to our life-plan and gives as some unfair judgement. Unfair?Judgement? Yea.. some people judge us as they know everything about us without asking, understanding or knowing us more. Here are the example..

A : so, what do you want to be? a career-woman or a full-wife?
me : every woman wanna be a wife, of course.. and being a wife is a career too
A:  oh, come on. You are studying this hard only for being a house-keeper?
it's a judgement :-p being mom, house keeper, wife, or whatever people named this profession is very precious things

B: hm, well.. after graduating from this campus, what will you do?
me: insha Allah, i think i will continue my study, if there's a chance :)
B: hey, don't be crazy in study and getting academic titles, get marry soon, or no man will have courage to propose you
what B said is judgement. Hehehe. i didn't say i won't marry soon, or i don;t have plan for marriage. I just think, marriage planning is not an answer for after campus life question, and that's why i'm not answering with this. Because, marriage do not requires the graduation, people may get marry even before graduate, hahaha. Every muslim (or may be everyone) wants get marry, but marriage is not a self-plan and not easy thing to do. Many factors affect someone decission to marry or not to marry in that/this age.

And for me, continuing study is not a barrier for woman in planning a marriage. Here i'm, i was permitted to get marry even before the graduation of undergrad program, as if i find the Mr. Right.. hehe. But for now, i haven't met the right time and right person, that's all. If it's true that many gentlemen out there are being afraid of the women academic title or career, so I pray to Allah for giving me the brave one ;-) got it? Because the main point that muslim women see to muslim men is their faith, not the title.

ok, then.. may be i'll continue this later.. i got my mood to continue the research-progress report. Haha..

Salam 'alaikom :)

Hi everyone! It's been a while i do not post anything here, hehe. I'm at the 8th semester now, and i hope it's my last semester for completing my undergraduate study, Aamiin. Currently, i'm doing my undergraduate research, it's about the veneer (dental ceramic) from feldspathic mineral. Pray for me.. ^^ May Allah always blesses and guides us, also gives us easiness in everything we do :)

These two photos were old photo, the 1st one was taken at 2009 and the 2nd was at 2011. I made it as a photo-message taken from the hadith/as-sunnah and The Qur`an after inspired by many photo-quotes in tumblr, haha.
